Upgrade components

Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into armor, weapons, trinkets, and gathering tools to give a bonus or extra effect when the equipment is used. They can be purchased from vendors or other players, looted or obtained as a reward, or created by crafting materials. Alongside providing bonus attributes Upgrade items also have cosmetic effects.

Infusions, inscriptions and enhancements are types of upgrade component. They are not accessible to the general public and are only available on equipment that is ascended or on certain weapons that are not ascending from the Factions Campaign. Infusions, inscriptions and enrichments can be retrieved from equipment using an Infusion Extraction Device or salvaged with a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool.

Like other upgrade products, Phoenix Boxes can be traded even while still attached to the item that they are upgrading. They are able to be used again after being salvaged. These upgrade items can be used to boost the quality of armor and weapon without the expense of Dilithium. They can double the chance that the item will receive a high-quality upgrade.

A component that is upgraded in an item can be replaced with another but it is not able to replace the original one (except for upgrades of ascended equipment and legendaries). Upgrade components can only be added to upgraded items with an identification level of zero or higher. If you add an upgrade to a weapon already equipped with a suffix or a prefix upgrade the item will be referred to as it would appear on the game screen (for example adding the Radiant insignia to Canthan Armor makes it Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). A player can only have three upgrade items at one time.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be an excellent accessory to any item. They provide unique benefits and boosts. Certain glyphs can increase the number of affixes on an item, increasing its overall power. These glyphs are available through the dungeons and some even drop in certain World Tier 3 areas.  item upgrades  to remember that glyphs can only be used by players who have created a root-dungeon with the same level of depth.

To make use of a Glyph, you must first create it using components and connect them with anchors. The component will then automatically align to other components or paths in the same layer. If you don't want to create the glyph using components, you can use a combination of anchors and paths. Then, drag an element near the highlighted component to snap it into place.

Certain glyphs require specific conditions to be fulfilled like 25 Dexterity in a particular area on the Paragon Board. Some also require a certain number of Primary Stat nodes to be activated, which can be difficult to attain. Certain glyphs also have a radius that increases as you level it up.

Glyphs can be applied to a variety of weapons and objects, except for those belonging to a particular class. Certain glyphs have conditions for example, like having a certain number of dexterity or attack damage in a specific location on the Paragon board.

The Defend Glyph has a 5% chance to block enemy attacks. It also has an opportunity to render the Hero vulnerable for 2 turns.

Certain glyphs can also be used on limited use tools, like the Black Lion Chest and Trading Post. These glyphs contribute to the Combat Mechanic Achievement.

The most common glyphs in the game are the attack ones which boost Artifacts' ATK substats by a fixed value. These glyphs are especially beneficial for classes that rely on weapons with a range, such as Warriors or Rogues. Other glyphs include the Exploit Glyph which makes enemies who hit the Hero vulnerable to damage.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens are special tokens that can be used to roll back one of the results rolled while performing an Action. They are removed when the reroll occurs. Reroll tokens can be gained through a variety of ways, including through raids, dungeons and skirmishes. They can also be bought at the shop or from other players. They are particularly useful in dungeons or trials, as they allow players to reroll rewards at the end of the chest.

Recycle point values are provided for items at level 1. If an item is recycled it will add a specific number of points to the gauge of upgrade. This value is based on the rarity of the item as well as its level. In addition, the upgraded item will not keep its level after rerolling and the cost for recycling an upgraded item goes up with the level of the item.

Alternately, players can use reroll tokens to make an upgrade item rerollable however, this won't return the item to its original level or provide the original stats. This is useful for players who want to reroll a piece of equipment they don't love but want to keep in their collection.

Three types of upgrade coins are available in the game - Reroll, randomly generated and upgrade. Each type has a few subtypes. For instance, reroll tokens are available in three levels: enhanced, rare and legendary. Each requires a product of the respective level to produce a new item with the same quality.

To make use of reroll tokens, right-click on the Satanic or Angelic item in inventory and select "Reroll Token". Select the type of token. The available tokens include Item Weapon, Misc, 1hgun, 2hgun and Focus. The Item token can be used to create a brand new Item in any quality. Using the Weapon or Misc token will create an entirely new weapon belonging to the same faction.

The item could also be upgraded to a different item with the same stats but is at a higher level. This is likely to happen when the item is in the Pool that is not droppable or has been transferred to it as part of a Franchise Card.
